Daniel Whibley is a composer and arranger with a rich history of creating orchestral music for family concerts, television, and radio. His work reaches over 50,000 live listeners annually and millions more through TV and online platforms.
As the co-founder of Carrot Productions, Daniel has been instrumental in developing and touring innovative musical productions, including popular shows such as “The Snowman” and “Wallace & Gromit” and “Shaun the Sheep”.

Daniel regularly writes for the BBC Orchestras including music for the CBeebies Prom in 2022 which has been touring ever since.

Commissioned by CBeebies to create all the musical content for “Musical Storyland”, a new series of ten episodes featuring musicians from the BBC Philharmonic plus collaborations with Kuljit Bhamra, Sidiki Dembele and Zi Lan Liao.

Daniel wrote and arranged “4 Notes”, based on the improvisation by Paul Harvey. Widely broadcast on radio, featured on BBC Breakfast, and listed in the popular charts, it helped raise millions for Alzheimer’s research and music therapy.

Composed the music for “The Gingerbread Man”, topping the CBeebies charts and receiving over 1 million views.

Commissioned to write and arrange the music for Mr. Tumble live in concert.

Current Work

Daniel is currently arranging music for Stand By For Action 2 - a concert at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham celebrating the life and works of Gerry Anderson, creator of Thunderbirds, UFO, Joe 90, etc.

He is also creating the scores for Pride Classical which will be performed at Pride in Liverpool in July 2024.

Daniel is about to start work on creating original music to accompany David Litchfield’s best-selling children’s book, The Bear, the Piano, the Dog and the Fiddle.
